I have an electric football game set up in my studio so my son and I can play when he gets home from school.  He humors me, but I can tell he's rather play Madden!  I guess the technology has improved a bit since I was a boy.

Painting two- Just a simple graphic composition, I'm mostly working on the variety of brush strokes  and edges.  This is a cheap little cigar from Sloppy Joe's, a cool little bar in Key West that Ernest Hemmingway hung out at.

This is the first of my daily paintings, I will continue to post new ones each day.
I like the simplicity of this overhead composition.  I like that ashtray a lot too.  I've had it for probably 20 years.  I think I borrowed it from the Roxy Theater in Hollywood in my younger days.
I guess I was feeling bold with all that red,  however red seems to be a difficult color to photograph ...I did my best.
